This project traces the roots of an Alsatian Christmas tradition; it consists on setting the table with a decorative object that describes an unusual crown and 4 candles, which are gradually illuminated in the 4 Sundays before Christmas, called Advent.
In the middle of the table, our eyes are set on the mysterious object consisting of a round tray made of wood, four glass bells of different sizes and a purple tint symbolizing Advent. Its fragility and substance invite us to a careful manipulation and contemplation of the object. By lighting a bell every Sunday, it is like engaging in a game of Russian dolls. A landscape is born, the decor is built in the middle of our Christmas table.
